Main Job Purpose
Focusing on the Public Sector and Private Sector (70/30 Split) the incumbent’s responsibility will be to manage existing business and drive new business (hunting and farming), along with performing cost-benefit analysis and return-on-investment analysis. Combine excellent sales and consultative skills with an expert understanding of advanced and emerging technologies with Diopoint’s service offerings. Work closely with other departments and technical teams to present and articulate the capabilities and values of Diopoint’s services at all levels within the Private and Public Sectors.
Minimum Desired Qualifications
- Matric (Senior Certificate)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Dell Infrastructure Partner Training
Minimum Desired Experience
- 3 – 5 years IT Technical Sales experience, with emphasis on ICT infrastructure (Storage, Backup, HCI, Servers, Cabling, Switching, etc)
- 5 – 7 Extensive Account Management and Sales Experience in the Public Sector within the ICT industry
- Business development experience
- Proven sales track record.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets, Revenue and GP Targets
Minimum Desired Competencies
- Self-starter with highly developed interpersonal skills, decisive and result oriented
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Fluency in English.
- Exceptional analytical skills for analysing and determining client requirements
- Work well under pressure and commit to deadlines
- Have excellent people skills and intuitive to customer’s business needs
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for dealing with different types of customers and clients
- The ability to work independently and within a team
- Basic accounting and/or technical knowledge.
- Excellent Understanding of Government supply chain processes and tender / bid process
- Must understand, appreciate and follow company processes.
- ICT knowledge – Infrastructure specific
- Business acumen, compliance, and organising
Responsibilities and Accountability
- Responsible for 60% hunting and 40% farming (Building strong client relationships to maintain old business and acquire new customers)
- To ensure that sales targets are met
- Coordinate with various teams so that the customer’s expectations are met.
- Upsell the Company’s services and solutions.
- To serve as the custodian for the Private and Public Sectors in order to drive overall market share
- To serve as the liaison between the Company and their customers
- To manage market segments, customer base and industry verticals to target.
- To assist in defining and executing the strategic business development plan.
- Manage and identify key customer relationships and pipeline.
- To utilise the internal System in order to track the whole sales process flow
- Will be responsible for attending bi-weekly / monthly meetings and reporting thereof.
- Will be responsible for managing relationships between the Company, Distributors and OEM’s
